JUERGA! LIVE FLAMENCO!

On Saturday, February 6^th,  Bristol's Peña Flamenca plans to hold its seventeenth event at the Undercroft of St.Mary Redcliffe, Bristol. BS1 6RA

The evening, which starts at 7.30 p.m. will feature a colourful floor show of flamenco dancing, guitar music and singing, drawing on talent from Bristol itself  and further afield.

Tickets for the Peña are £12 and will include a delicious plate of tapas plus  a complimentary glass of sangria, depending on size of audience. Other drinks will be on a 'bring your own' basis. So, make sure this date goes in your diary and, even if you don't  feel brave enough this time to sign up as a performer, do come along all dressed up Spanish style, if you can. There will be opportunities to get up and dance sevillanas and bulerias if you would like to. If you are prepared to be one of the 20 to perform at the Peña you get in at a reduced charge of £8  in which case we will need to know well in advance, so we can draw up the programme. Performers' partners will be expected to pay the full entry charge, however.

The purpose of the Peña is to provide a non-profit making platform for anyone who wishes to perform flamenco in however modest a way and an opportunity for those who do not wish to perform to enjoy  flamenco's exciting  sights and sounds in a friendly atmosphere. In addition to “Juerga,s” by local performers, we also have evenings starring leading Flamenco flamencos from London and Spain.
